AUTHORISED SHIMANO WORKSHOP SERVICE

YOUR BIKE IN A MECHANIC'S HANDS.

From assembly to hydraulic brake service, every job here is done by a mechanic. We look after every bike, including brands we don't sell.

Our price list is on display in the shop. Once we've seen the bike, we tell you what needs doing and what it costs before we start.

WHAT WE DO

Bike assemblyA bike out of the box is not ready to ride. We set the handlebars, saddle, brakes and gears, tighten the bolts with a torque wrench and check the wheels are true. We ride it round the block before you do.
Tyre changeTyre and inner tube replacement, inflation, tubeless setup. While the tyre is off we check the rim tape too — most repeat punctures are caused by a shifted rim tape, not the tyre.
Brake and gear adjustmentCables stretch over time, pads wear down. The adjustment takes fifteen minutes but changes how the bike feels completely. If a cable or pad needs replacing, we tell you first.
Wheel truingWheels go out of true over time; on rim brakes they rub the pads, on disc brakes they still wobble. We tension the spokes one by one to straighten them. If the rim has taken a knock, we tell you upfront that truing won't hold.
Crankset fittingCrank and bottom bracket fitting, pedal replacement. If you hear a creak while pedalling, the problem usually starts here.
Brake lever fittingBrake levers, callipers and complete brake systems. On disc brakes we align the calliper with the rotor; that is almost always the cause of a rubbing noise.
Hydraulic brake serviceFluid refill and bleed. If the lever has gone soft or pulls all the way to the bar, there is air in the system. We service the full range of Shimano hydraulic brakes.
Shifter fittingFront and rear derailleurs and shifters. If we're replacing the drivetrain we check chain and cassette wear too; a new cassette with an old chain wears out quickly.
Cleaning and lubricationChain, drivetrain and cassette cleaned, dried and lubricated. A dry chain is noisy and eats the drivetrain. We use different lubricants for road, off-road and e-bikes.
WashA complete wash and dry. Don't let mud dry on the bike after an off-road ride; dried mud wears the paint and the bearings.

ABOUT THE SERVICE

Why are there no prices on the site?

This website is here to introduce our shop and services; it doesn't sell anything. Our service price list is on display in the shop, and bikes and products carry price tags. Since the same job can vary from bike to bike, we look at the bike and tell you what it needs and what it costs before we start. No surprises.

Will you come to my home?

Individual customers need to bring the bike to the shop. On-site service is for universities, hotels and tour groups.

Which brands do you service?

All of them, including brands we don't sell.

Do I need an appointment?

No, just come in. But with an appointment your bike doesn't wait in the queue.

What if the part I need isn't in stock?

Most Shimano parts are in stock. We order what's missing and tell you the lead time that day. Touring cyclists on the road get priority, because they have no time to wait.
